Join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day import and export execution. Ensure compliance with standards and contribute to global initiatives for trade and customs enhancements.
Your responsibilities will include:- Coordinating and managing all regional import and export processes for commercial and non-commercial goods.
- Ensuring efficient handling of customs formalities in cross-regional trade.
- Timely submission of entries for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with global rules, standards, and regulations set by Global Trade & Customs.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize regional customs and tax in line with local regulations and aligned with Global Trade & Customs strategies.
- Communicating with state customs and other regional regulators.
- Supporting global initiatives/projects with regional expertise.
- Collaborating closely with Tax and Accounting to ensure compliance with country requirements.
- Acting as the local first contact for Regional Sales for cross-border questions about existing setups.
- Supporting all international transport matters, including freight invoice approval and insurance claims.
- Managing the Impex team (5 people).
Your profile:
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Expertise in import and export processes across all types of cross-border and multimodal (train/barge/truck) flows.
- Strong understanding of global Trade & Customs rules and regulations for regional execution.
- Solid overview of the relevant regional market environment and cross-border trade relationships.
- Agile mindset with a positive attitude to lead and manage change.
- “Can do” attitude to effectively resolve day-to-day issues and drive smooth process execution.
- The ability to lead, encourage collaboration, co-creation, and people development by empowering your Impex team.
- Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Inclusive and empathetic towards others while encouraging diversity.
- Self-awareness, understanding your impact on others, and contribution to the whole group.
- Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
This is a full-time position based at the Distribution Center. The Impex Manager is part of the management committee of the warehouse.
